How it works

Your (free) registration is required

As required in the French law, you must be registered to use our Internet connection. (As said in the article L. 34-1 of the French "Code des postes et des communications électroniques"). Please, fill in a registration form at the reception (only your first and last names are required).

Internet access / PC hire

You have nine computers at your disposal, including five which are accessible for people with reduced mobility. Each computer is equipped with :

  • Internet browser ;
  • Instant message software ;
  • Office automation softwares ;
  • Various multimedia softwares.

We use only free softwares and operating systems : if you need help with interfaces or features, our member staff will gladly assist you.

Wi-Fi access

You can use our free Wi-Fi hotspot to connect with your own laptop. The connection is limited to 2 hours during the busiest times (in order to provide a connection to everyone).
Before you connect to the hotspot (called "Centralwifi"), from within or outside our premises, you must report to the reception.

Free e-administration

You can seek a job or a training course in France (looking for job advertisements, typing up a CV, an application letter...) and also make French online administrative procedures. Here is a non-exhaustive list of the sites you can visit for free (if in doubt, please ask our member staff) :

  • service-public.fr (French administration portal where you can find all online administrative procedures) ;
  • town/city hall and prefectures sites ;
  • government departments (all sites ending by .gouv.fr) and embassy ;
  • tax office ;
  • social insurance, CAF, URSSAF, CCAS ;
  • CNOUS, CROUS ;
  • pôle emploi (employment agency) ;
  • tourist offices ;
  • public libraries, National Library of France ;
  • INSEE ;
  • ...

Payment

We only accept cash and French cheques (no credit cards). Wi-Fi connections and e-administration services are FREE.

Rules concerning the minors

The minors between 12 and 18 must get a parent (or a person legally in charge) permission to access the Espace Netpublic services (parental permission form available at the reception or download it here (French version) : autorisation parentale). Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Law against terrorism

The French law makes us backup what you browse on the Web. All the websites addresses you visit will be saved (Law n°2006-64 du 23 janvier 2006 concerning fight against terrorism).
